It’s time for us to part with our beloved “Unforgettable.” I have loved EVERY SINGLE MINIUTE onboard. She has taken us safely from Bar Harbor, ME to Turks and Caicos and so many wonderful places in between.
Why, you might ask? The arthritis in Scott’s hands and his need for another hip replacement makes it difficult for him to do the necessary chores that boat life requires AND he has a long bucket list that he wants us to check off. Therefore, we are also selling our townhouse in St. Louis and looking for a home in Fernandina Beach on Amelia Island, FL. I’m trying to look at the bright side and focus on the easy aspects of living on dirt: unlimited hot water. Well, there’s got to be more than that. I’ll focus a little harder: ease of medical appointments, ability to take classes, less work for Scott, fewer weather concerns, more travel by land and air, more free time, etc. I truly am excited about living in Fernandina Beach.
