May in MO

cass profilecass-grad.jpg

We had a wonderful time in Missouri for 3 weeks visiting family in Kirksville, Callao, Columbia, Springfield, Marionville and St. Louis.  We also managed to squeeze in a few friends.  I’m so proud to announce that my daughter, Cassandra, graduated from Mizzou (University of Missouri, Columbia) with a degree in Informational Technology.  We celebrated with a BBQ/party in St. Louis at the Laumeier Sculpture Park.

We enjoyed time with Tom (Scott’s son), Amy and Bailey in Kirksville.  We attended Lisa’s (Scott’s daughter-in-law) grandma’s 99th birthday party with Jessie (Granddaughter) in Callao.  Jessie made a beautiful cake for the party that was the best tasting cake I’ve ever had!

We toured Wonder of Wildlife at the original Bass Pro in Springfield with my Dad and hung out with the Allhands clan (my family).

And last, but not least, we celebrated Mother’s Day and hung out with Allegra, my daughter that just moved to Maryland.  She made me promise that I would learn to swim and she did a fabulous job teaching me.  I actually surprised myself that I progressed so far in 3 lessons.  I started by simply learning how to put my face in the water without holding my nose!  She also patiently practices Lindy Hop with me which I absolutely love.  She is quite the “swinger”.

Despite having a fun May in MO we were thrilled to return to “Unforgettable”!

Coming soon:  Makeover Part 2 and D.C.  Bound

  1. Great post!! Boy, you really packed a lot into your trip here. We’re really glad that you could squeeze us in and have dinner together 🙂

Uber must have come through for you in taking you to the airport because I think we would have heard from you otherwise. Glad it worked out!

Your keys haven’t arrived yet, and we leave on our trip in a couple of hours. We’re having our mail held, so when we get back we’ll confirm that we got them. In the meantime, happy cruising and enjoy your time heading to Chesapeake.

Your blog is terrific, so keep us updated with it!

    Bon Voyage!
